Mountain Mama Massage offers therapeutic massage to all genders and generations. Whether you want to alleviate aches and pains, recover from your latest adventure or seek relaxation and rejuvenation, we are here to help you find ease in your body.
We specialize and are certified in prenatal and postpartum massage to support your growing family.

Our Approach:
We believe you are the expert on your own body. But that doesn’t always mean you know how to get out of pain and back to feeling your best. In each session we listen to your experience and create a massage therapy plan tailored to your evolving needs so that you leave feeling grounded, connected, and ready to get back to the activities and people you love. Our bodywork blends clinically proven techniques and intuition-based practice; often incorporating multiple modalities in each session including swedish, deep tissue, orthopedic, and integrative work.

Our Offerings:
We believe everyone deserves beautiful bodywork that helps them feel at home in their body. Our sessions include:
  • deep tissue and therapeutic massage: for all ages and genders
  • prenatal massage: from conception through 41 weeks
  • postpartum massage: immediately post-birth through 2 years postpartum
  • mayan abdominal therapy: digestive and reproductive health for all genders
  • infant massage:  parents and caregivers learn a simple massage routine for their baby(ies)
  • in-home massage: relaxing massage bliss in the comfort of your home

Our Team:

The Mountain Mama Massage team are Certified Prenatal, Labor, and Postpartum Massage Therapists. This means we have specialized training and experience in safe and effective positioning and techniques for every stage of pregnancy, both healthy and high-risk with over 50 years of combined experience. This knowledge allows us to create a blissful, relaxing environment in which pregnant people and babies-in-utero take time off and find relief from the physical and emotional rigors of pregnancy.
We also specialize in deep tissue massage, orthopedic massage, and manual lymphatic drainage therapies.

Faith (she/her) has been massaging since 2009 and is the mountain mama behind Mountain Mama Massage. She is amazing at  finding just the right pressure and technique to treat each client and leave them with less pain and more presence.

Jeanne (she/her) loves to work with every body’s unique physique to help individual clients feel better in their body. Her specialty is massage before, during and after - sometimes long after -  pregnancy. She has been massaging since 2004.

Caitlin (she/her) is passionate about meeting the needs of her clients in a way that is both relaxing and providing of lasting improvements and has been massaging since 2006.

Shelly (she/her) has been massaging since 1998 and weaves together a blend of modalities that feel best-suited to her clients and their needs in that particular session-- with the ultimate goal of deep relaxation and decreased discomfort.

Benefits of Massage:

Maternity massage has many benefits. Prenatal and postpartum massage eases the aches and pains associated with pregnancy and early newborn care, promotes better sleep, provides emotional and physical support for the natural changes of the body, and increases parent-baby bonding.

Infant massage contributes to proper brain development by enhancing sensory and motor development, boosts the infant immune system, increases sleep periods and decreases fussy periods, strengthens caregiver intuition and communication with their infant - and it is a really fun activity for parents and babies to share!
Therapeutic massage for all people can reduce muscle tension; create feelings of care, comfort, and connection that help to manage stress; relieve headaches, migraines, and insomnia related to soft tissue disorders, relieve postoperative pain, increase energy, and integrate physical changes associated with age, injury, or life events.

Our Most Frequently Asked Questions:
also answered in more detail on our website, but to get you started...

You are called mountain mama massage. I’m not a mama. Can I still get a massage?
YES! We pride ourselves on creating a safe space for every client who comes to our table. We believe that all persons are created equal and welcome all genders, all gender-identities, all family formations, all sizes, all colors, all cultures, all beliefs, all religions, all ages --- all people.

Can I buy a gift certificate?
YES! You can purchase immediately printable gifts for yourself or others online in the secure online shop. Gift certificates may be redeemed with any massage therapist and any location at Mountain Mama Massage.

How do I schedule a session (massage, yoga, virtual etc)?
All sessions are by appointment only and can be easily scheduled through our online calendar or by calling/texting. At times, the calendar does get busy. If you don’t see what you need we highly recommend you add yourself to our online waitlist. Plans change and we sometimes have last-minute appointments open due to illness or birth.

I still have some questions. Can I talk to a human?
Absolutely. Give us a call, shoot us a text, or send us an email. We spend much of our time with our hands on clients, but we will get back to you as soon as possible (and definitely in the next 48 hours).

What is your favorite thing to do when you are not massaging?
We all love to adventure in the great outdoors (it is Colorado after all!) solo or with family and friends. We happen to also all be creatives who love to engage with art including singing, painting, cooking, and making up silly stories for our children and pets.
